Frozen Yogurt French Toast

You heard me! Discover famed chef Jacques Pepin’s instant batter for French toast.

There is hardly a recipe needed, [thank you, Jacques!]

To make your own frozen yogurt, aka froyo, go to my site with over a dozen recipes

To make four slices:

  • Melt 2 cups of frozen yogurt or ice cream
  • Pour into a pan just large enough to hold 4 slices of bread
  • Lay slices of sourdough bread or other mild bread in liquid
  • Soak a couple minutes, then flip
  • Meanwhile, Preheat skillet on medium-low and oil well
  • Fry the bread a few minutes, until browned and flip
  • Repeat and serve with butter and syrup

L: I used a sturdy sourdough sandwich bread [Trader Joe’s is wonderful] with Maple Walnut Yogurt Right: Lowell, ready to dig in, along with fried eggs and froot chutney .

Above: Used brioche sandwich bread and chocolate ice cream to great success
