Soothing Smoothie — India’s Most Cherished Drink
Something so delicious and simple to prepare, a lassi begs for our time and blender to make fruit and yogurt shout “delicious!”
A lassi is a chilled beverage of fresh or frozen fruit, Greek yogurt and a few pantry items. Whatever fresh fruit you have is game. India’s favorite is mango lassi, and I can see why, especially when it’s mango season, lassis give us another way to enjoy.
I save some of my favorite hand picked fruit by dicing and then freezing in 2 cup batches. Whenever it’s lassi time, out comes the fruit and bingo!
